Have you ever tried putting a sweater on an octopus? Neither have I, but that’s how parenting a toddler was once explained to me. That description turned out to be pretty close to reality.
Now, have you ever tried to work full time, homeschool your kids, keep them indoors and away from every other living human on the planet, keep your house stocked full of food and toilet paper, wash your hands 10 times a day and make sure everyone else in your house is similarly clean, plus do the laundry and walk the dog and keep yourself from going insane? No? Neither have I, but that’s suddenly the life many of us are living.
So the creative folks here at Car and Driver have pulled together a few resources to help out weary parents and bored car lovers in this moment. We’ve created a Boredom Busters section, where you can find coloring pages of some of our favorite cars and magazine covers, some connect-the-dots pages, and a few paper cutout cars you can put together. We’ve got more content in the works; we will soon add some math and physics activities for older kids who are looking for a car-related challenge.
Please share this resource with all your friends, and send us the results from your creative brood. We can’t guarantee these pages will solve all your boredom woes, but we hope they will give you 10 to 15 minutes of free time so you can go scream into your pillow.
If you’re into this type of stuff, you’ll love what’s going on from our friends at R&T Crew.
We’d love to see what you’ve created at home. Send us the final iteration of your fancy handywork at: [email protected] or join Backfires.caranddriver.com
