The X5 is a good deal much more high priced. Im thinking about the M550 and the X5 M50 and the X5 with comparable tools is 10k much more than the M550i. Not confident about other styles, but I know 5 series and X5 is a huge price big difference.
It appears to be the reverse for the 7… in addition to what wtwo3 said about the 40, the X7 M50 is also about $10k less costly than a equally geared up 750.
While on test drives I could unquestionably truly feel that BMW did some value cutting on the X7… the 7 sedan just feels like a better spot to be. A bit quieter, additional leather-based (e.g. on the B pillar), far more metallized buttons & trim (the X7 has a bunch of black plastic on the doorways), far better inside layout/visual appeal in general, and the good ceramic controls as an alternative of the garbage regular iDrive controls (this was the most shocking factor to me when exam driving BMWs… $70k to $100k vehicles, yet (even with glass controls) the iDrive knob feels & appears like a low cost plasticky mechanism, worse excellent than the switchgear in my Honda Civic).
But the X7 leaves you with $10k extra in your financial institution account which compensates for the deficiencies, imo it is a a little much better worth than the 7. Even so, the back seats of the 7 not folding down will make it amazingly impractical… my Civic Coupe effortlessly carried IKEA bins for 95% of the home furniture in my dwelling, whilst the 7 would battle with anything at all over and above the smallest items. Which created the X7 the greater alternative for me, and I think also for the wide the greater part of persons – improved value & worth, and considerably a lot more functional.
